This particular copy has faded very badly and the contrast is greatly enhanced here (two takes).


This photograph was probably taken near Earlham, Dallas Co., Iowa, Summer 1911; and it is likely that the photographer was Charles H. Standing.   He & his brother Gilbert were taking & developing their own photos around this time and earlier.   The identifications below were researched and submitted by Nancy Osborn Johnsen.
